Diversified Credit is one of South Africa’s leading credit investment managers, with over 30 years of proven track record. Within Old Mutual Alternative Investments, we currently manage over ZAR 22.7 B in credit assets across a portfolio of listed and unlisted fixed income instruments.
The Diversified Credit team specialises in originating high-quality, Investment-Grade credit assets, primarily in South Africa, but also across the continent and broader international market.
Our services include deal origination, execution, and evaluation of credit transactions, as well as credit support, asset management, and counterparty engagements over the lifespan of our transactions. Our aim is to build a well-diversified portfolio of listed and unlisted credit assets while ensuring superior risk-adjusted investment returns for our investors.
We focus on originating long-dated, listed and unlisted credit assets for our investors. Our aim is to diversify credit exposure across a range of asset classes by building on existing funding relationships, while actively seeking new opportunities.
Core asset classes include corporate loans and bonds, secured property finance, leveraged finance and funding SOEs.
As a team, we are also focused on offering credit support and ongoing deal management on behalf of our investors. We also prioritise the importance of integrating ESG (environmental, social and governance) concerns into all strategies. In a rapidly changing arena, ESG is not only fundamental to investment in a better future, but a driver of investment value.
